Greetings and salutations.
Hack or Slash is a horror movie review podcast dedicated to telling you whether a particular movie is a hack (a total joke, a waste of time) or a slash (totally killer, pun intended).
We believe horror is for everyone, regardless of how familiar you are with the genre, or which flavor of fear you fancy most. The way we receive films is shaped by our individual lived experiences. We've found that wildly different perspectives exist between all of us, and we embrace those differences in each episode.
Our goal is to review every horror movie out there. This may sound like a daunting task, but it's one we're committed to.
The first half of each episode is spoiler-free so you can gauge whether or not you want to watch the film. After the spoiler break, we dive in deep to assess the intensity of the film's gore, debate the richness of its characters, and explore the quality of its production.
The podcast launched on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 (nice) and is available for streaming and download in Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Spotify, among other major podcast platforms.
We’ve changed a lot over the last two years, including changing up our team. For the best experience, start with episode 057. While our feed keeps our most current 100 episodes, you can find our archived episodes here.
